Three Month Package

You will build your mom community, create your own mother support, experience grief healing, and become grounded in mama joy.

 

Grief Healing

The first step includes exploring the transformative power of grief healing. Grief shows up in many forms. It may be related to the death of your mom, the loss of a relationship you want to have but know you can't due to estrangement, grief related to the lack of a maternal grandmother for your child, grief related to the loss of a hoped-for relationship with a loving and supportive mom.

Mom Community

The second step involves building a mom community. Momless moms don't have the benefit of a "go-to" person that one's mother often fills. Moms without a mom need to intentionally build their community to create the support and guidance they need.

Mom Identity

The third step involves the development of our mom identity. When our first child is born, we become a mom. Knowing who we are as a first-time mom doesn't always come naturally, especially when one has had a difficult relationship with their own mother.

Voxer coaching is similar to "traditional" coaching but we use the free app Voxer to communicate, strategize, and work together, through text and audio.

What you can expect after completing the One Month Individual Coaching Package:

  • You will have your unique questions answered when they occur during the week of voxer.
  • You will feel more confident as a mom after support around your particular concerns.

What you get with your One Month Individual Coaching Package:

  • A 30 minute scheduled session to identify individual areas of need and support using voxer which utilizes live and recorded audio, text, and video messaging through an encrypted free app accessible on any device or computer
  • One week of unlimited on-demand coaching using voxer
  • VIP email support for 1 month

One-Month Individual Coaching Package

What you can expect after completing the One Month Individual Coaching Package:

  • You will know how to take care of yourself when the drain of being a momless mom shows up in unexpected ways like when feelings of jealousy pop up unbidden as you watch your friends’ mothers take the kids on special outings, or when an unexpected emergency occurs and it’s your mom you want to reach out for.

I have been a momless mom for over 12 years and know what it is like to parent without the support and guidance of a loving mom in my day-to-day life.

I love being a mom, entrepreneur and psychologist. My son, frequently hangs out with a lovely group of friends, he is enjoying the start of school, and can't wait for the school musical practices to begin. My psychological practice is thriving, and I am passionate about my coaching program for moms without a mom. 

But it wasn't always like this. Unfortunately, the first few years of my son's life were not only among the most challenging times of my life but also a time when I felt utterly alone and completely lost in how to be a mom. My mom and both sisters had died before he was born, and I had lived in our town for less than a year.

My son was born with neurological conditions that took a year to diagnose and required years of intensive therapies for him to engage in basic tasks, including walking, talking, and interacting with others in meaningful ways. I was filled with fear and self-blame (completely irrational) and felt utterly overwhelmed. Being a shy introvert made reaching out for help challenging. I felt like something was wrong with me because it felt like I was failing as a mom. 

And then I realized that I felt different because I was different. There are unique challenges that all moms without a mom experience that impacts their mothering.

 I knew I needed to change how I was living my life. I couldn't do it alone.

 So here is what I did:

  •  I replaced my negative self-talk with compassion and encouragement.
  • I educated myself about the challenges my son and I were facing and what we needed to do.
  • I sought emotional support from people who would listen rather than try and cheer me up or give advice.
  • I asked for assistance from people who could lighten the load. 

 I want all moms to thrive and recognize their inner strength, especially those moms like me who don't have a loving, supportive mom in their day-to-day lives. We are stronger when we have a community that understands us!

  • Absolutely. Although nothing can replace the positive experience of having a loving mom in your day-to-day life, you will develop strategies to minimize the difficult feelings and experiences that get in the way of being the best mom you can be.

 

How is the Moms Without A Mom Coaching package different from therapy?

  • The Moms Without A Mom coaching package focuses on the specific aspects of being a mom without a mom. Although we may address early life experiences as they relate to your experience of being mothered, we will not be delving into long-standing patterns of personality. The coaching program does not treat mental health disorders.

 

What happens if I have questions in between our scheduled coaching sessions?

  • We will be using the Voxer app to communicate via text, audio, or short video messages in between sessions. This way you will have the opportunity to have questions answered quickly and you can get support when you need it.
